Dauren Karashev

Dauren Karashev is the Founder and Head of the Crypto Forensics Laboratory in Kazakhstan. He has more than fifteen years of professional experience in law, public administration, legislative drafting, compliance, risk management, and digital asset regulation.

He previously served as a senior legislative expert in the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and contributed to the development of Kazakhstan's legal framework for digital assets, blockchain technologies, and the crypto industry. He also participated in the development of regulatory approaches to digital assets within the Astana International Financial Centre.

Dauren has held senior positions in the Kazakhstan Association of Blockchain Technologies and has worked as a compliance officer and risk management executive for licensed digital asset businesses.

He regularly conducts professional training for investigators, prosecutors, financial intelligence officers, members of Parliament, lawyers, and media representatives.

Crypto Forensics Practice

At the Crypto Forensics Laboratory, Dauren provides analytical and forensic support to law enforcement and prosecutorial authorities in investigations involving cryptocurrencies. His work includes:

• Blockchain transaction tracing
• Wallet attribution
• Identification of virtual asset service providers
• Preparation of evidentiary materials and expert opinions for criminal, civil, and administrative proceedings

He also participates in court proceedings to explain and defend the applied forensic methodologies and conclusions.
